Speaker Information: 

Katie Sellers, DrPH, CPH 

Katie Sellers, DrPH, CPH, is the Vice President for Impact at the de Beaumont Foundation. She is responsible for demonstrating the impact of the Foundation’s investments and informing decisions about how to achieve the greatest impact.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Katie served as Senior Vice President for Science and Strategy at the March of Dimes. She was responsible for the strategic initiatives and scientific foundation of the March of Dimes’ work to achieve equity and improvements in birth outcomes. She led the Prematurity Campaign Collaborative, the Perinatal Data Center, and the Office of Sponsored Programs, supervising data collection, management, analysis, and interpretation, peer-reviewed publications, program evaluation, grant proposals, grants management, and strategic efforts to promote the March of Dimes mission.

 

Kyle Bogaert, MPH

Kyle Bogaert, MPH is the director of workforce development at the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO). ASTHO is the national nonprofit organization representing the public health agencies of the United States, the U.S. territories, and the District of Columbia, as well as the more than 100,000 public health professionals these agencies employ. ASTHO members, the chief health officials of these jurisdictions, are dedicated to formulating and influencing sound public health policy and to ensuring excellence in state‐based public health practice

In her role, Kyle manages ASTHO’s workforce research and development portfolio, including the Public Health Workforce Interests and Needs Survey (PH WINS); a human resources and workforce development directors’ network; and other workforce development activities.

 

Kris Risley, DrPH, CPCC 

Kris Risley, DrPH, CPCC, leads the de Beaumont Foundation’s efforts to support the public health workforce, develop capacity, and lead change at the individual, team, organization, and systems levels by working collaboratively within and across sectors. Prior to joining the Foundation, Kris was a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Community Health Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health, where she worked for 18 years. She served as a faculty member with the Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health and a faculty member and academic advisor with the DrPH in Public Health Leadership program. She also worked with the National Maternal and Child Health Workforce Center at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, where she served as a member of the Change Management Core.
