01-430DL Cervical Cancer Screenings and HPV Vaccinations: Outreach Strategies for Latina Women

During this presentation, participants will learn about the development and implementation of the Salud es Vida (Health is Life) promotora program in rural Georgia, which targets Hispanic immigrants from low-income and farmworker backgrounds to deliver cervical cancer screening information. The Salud es Vida program is delivered by a promotora in a small group setting. The intervention provides education and information about community resources on cervical cancer, HPV, and the HPV vaccine. This presentation is aimed at health education professionals and outreach workers who want to implement a promotora program to deliver community-based cervical cancer education and outreach to Hispanic immigrants.
