Preparing for the Unthinkable: An Armed Intruder or Active Shooter

This is a virtual event, accessible online. Access instructions will be provided after registration.

The thought of an active shooter in any health care facility is truly unthinkable. Organizations dedicated to the care and preservation of life shouldn’t have to worry about acts of violence taking lives, but it is a reality that has played out multiple times across the nation. In this webinar, Steve Wilder, a nationally recognized expert on active shooters in health care facilities will discuss ways to prepare for, respond to and recover from such an unthinkable event.

This webinar will provide you with the knowledge to:

  1. Identify two common types of active shooter events.
  2. Explain the "4 Outs" to be considered when faced with an active shooter event.
  3. Discuss steps in developing a comprehensive Active Shooter Plan.
